One of the good artists in a sea of soulless clutter ~ Cyrus Rhodes
Holy Crap! There are at least 3 lines in this song I wish I would have written. You are so talented. BTW, you have a gorgeous voice".
Grammy nominated writer Jason Blume, hit songwriter, instructor, and author with more than 50,000,000 in album sales "Jane is the real deal. With an effortless and graceful guitar style she delivers her songs and stories with the comfort of a pro, holding the audience in the palm of her hand." Tom Bianchi, musician and host ~ Lizard Lounge, Cambridge, MA "What a joy it was to work with you at the Linden Tree. . . You are a true musician. You play and wrote in ways that cross genres. Folk, Country, Blues, Jazz, celtic... lots of threads and reference points in your music. So glad to have had the chance to work together" Joe Jencks, Singer-Songwriter "Wonderful choice of songs. FANTASTIC!" Liz Freeman, Booking, LIndentree Coffeehouse, Wakefield Massachusetts. Jane has performed at many festivals throughout the country and the world:
South Florida Folk Festival, Florida Woody Guthrie Folk Festival, Oklahoma New Jersey Folk Festival Will Mclean Folk Festival, Florida Clancy Brothers Festival, Ireland Great River Folk Festival, Wisconsin Neuse River Fest, North Carolina Smoky Mountain Songwriters Festival Tucson Folk Festival San Francisco Folk Festival Tumbleweed Festival, Washington, Ozark Folk Festival, Arkansas Connecticut Songwriters Festival Copehagen Songwriters Festival, Denmark Port Gamble Maritime Festival, Washington Ossipee Bluegrass Festival, Maine Florida Folk Festival Edinburgh Folk Festival, Scotland Singer-songwriter, Jane Fallon, is a veteran performer whose smooth, rich voice and well-written songs get noticed. With vocals that have been called “angelic” and “mesmerizing”, by Boston's Metronome magazine, her original songs “combine humor, intelligence, and deep musicality with an artfulness that is unusual.” (Wildy's Word Music blog).
Currently living in Florida, she was born in California and spent her formative years on the West Coast. As a member of a large musical family, she began singing and writing songs at an early age. Raised on Traditional country, Appalachian Folk, and Gospel, and trained in classical and jazz, Jane has sung everything from Barbara Allen to Ain't Misbehavin' and La Boheme and back again. Her own songs cover a wide variety of topics with a contemporary flair that incorporates those influences of pop, folk, swing, and country. Her literary background and ear for the music of words leaves her music tight and well-constructed. The combination of East and West and a mix of cultural experiences guarantees subject matter that might range from a tribute to her cowboy-hatted dad to an anthem for women affected by the AIDS epidemic in Africa. A clever sense of word play and a humorous take on the world often results in parodies of well-known tunes involved such things as cell-phones and computers, or originals poking fun at shopping and the environment. Jane is also an author with three books that combine story and song. Check these out on the page Music and Books on this site. Great honor recently performing my song "Before The Fire" about the Rosewood Massacre for the Centennial in Gainesville, Florida this year, on the Bo Diddley Stage.
